“So Be it” won the Audience Grand Prize at the Digital Gate International Film Festival

 

 

The Audience Grand Prize went to “So Be it,” directed by Youssef Mahsas from Algeria starring Hilda Amira.

 

The October 2020 edition of the International Digital Gateway Short Film Festival witnessed the participation of 34 films from 14 foreign countries.

 

An intense and strong participation from the Sultanate Oman was recorded with 11 high quality films.

 

For the first time, 3 new countries participated in the festival, and it concerns Lebanon, Palestine and Turkey. Algeria participated with 3 films, Morocco with 4 films, India with 5 films, Italy, Iran, Mauritania, Spain, Syria, Egypt and France with one film for each country.

 

The governor and founder of the festival, Dalil Belkhuder, revealed that the level of films in the seventh session was strong and the competition among the participants was intense and the choice was difficult because the films were good.

He added that there are new agreements and companies, which will be announced in the next few days.
